To assist the Manager in ensuring that the service provided enables the residents to live as ordinary a life as possible and to develop their full potential. |

Job Details: |
|
1) RESPONSIBILITY TO THE RESIDENTS
1.1. To assist the Manager and Deputy in ensuring the efficient running of Adelphi Care Services Limited homes on a daily basis and to liaise effectively with both the Manager and Deputy.
1.2. To promote high standards of professional practice, creating an environment which meets the physical, emotional, social, intellectual and spiritual needs of the residents.
1.3. Enable residents and staff to develop and maintain a homely environment taking into account any risks, evaluating these on a regular basis to ensure high standards of quality and safety.
1.4. To supervise staff to support residents in their personal care needs, both physical and emotional in a way that respects and promotes their choice, dignity and independence.
1.5. To promote good multi-agency working within the team to ensure collaborative approaches to meeting residents' needs.
1.6. To ensure that all residents' finances are clearly accounted for using agreed procedures.
2) GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
2.1. To ensure with the Manager that the procedure for the storage, administration and distribution of medication is adhered to in accordance with the company policy and that competence is checked.
2.2. To ensure Care Plans, Behaviour Management Strategies and personalised Policies are adhered to at all times in a consistent manner.
3) HUMAN RESOURCE RESPONSIBILITIES
3.1. To participate in the recruitment of the staff team when required.
3.2. To promote team working and individual staff development.
3.3. To ensure that company policies are adhered to.
3.4. To take part in staff supervision on a monthly basis.
3.5. To assist the Manager in carrying out formal risk assessments on all potential risks to residents and staff and to record in detail the measures to be taken to reduce the risk.
4) OTHER DUTIES
This Job Description is not fully inclusive and other duties may be agreed with the Manager.
