| Adelphi Care Services Limited is committed to providing an environment that can manage challenging behaviours in a non-adversive manner. |
|
| At Adelphi Care Services Limited we have a proactive approach to challenging behaviours, always looking at ways to identify the precursors and the impact of the behaviours. Residents are involved in their personal planning and we have adopted the person centred planning model to enable residents to have more say in their lives. Family and placing authorities are kept involved and will be consulted in the person centred planning in order that all are aware of the strategies being implemented. |

| In the case of residents who display violent and aggressive behaviours either towards themselves or others, all staff are trained in "Strategies for Crisis Intervention and Prevention" (SCIPr), a programme of behaviour interventions accredited by BILD. |
